Emigration Canyon Incident
Introduction
In this fictional incident, a pipeline burst in Emigrant Canyon near Salt Lake City, Utah, leading to over 30,000 barrels of oil to spill into the stream. As some residents have already reported illness, it is imperative to notify all residents within 250 meters of the stream of the accident that occured. Residents will be able to either leave the area or contact officials if they are feeling symptoms. In order to allow EMS and HazMat employees to be deployed appropriately, the following map book has been created. The map book has parcel information to be able to use as reference for contacting residents.
Lab Objectives
1) Create a feature class from a X,Y location.
2) Manipulate vector data.
3) Utilize join to merge tabular data with spatial data.
4) Provide a report for EMS and HazMat crews.
5) Understand page scale and map books.

EMS and HazMat Team Information
Map Book
This map book was created in order to aide EMS and HazMat teams in locating residents within the critical impact area. The map book contains an index map of the entire impacted area, and four zoomed in maps that delineates how emergency responders should split up.
